Peru Mission Trip
On July 4th, 2009, Rene Durr and David Pregnall made a return trip to the Peruvian Amazon with a team from 1st Presbyterian Church of Orangeburg. This was their second trip to this area and to work with Amazon Medical Missions. Five days were spent on the Amazon and Manatee Rivers of Peru.
The primary mission was to complete a church in the village of Yanamono, complete construction on Thursday, and have a dedication service Thursday night, before heading for home. The team was able to finish the church on Tuesday, have the dedication service on Tuesday night and move to another village to begin construction on a house for a pastor’s widow.
This was another great trip that moved all of the team closer to each other and closer to God. The generosity of Willow Swamp, the prayers, and the love helped in a great way to make this mission possible.

Dakota Sonshine South Dakota Mission Trip July 2011
This Summer our Church was lead to go on a Mission trip to a little town called Sisseton South Dakota. Where we worked at a youth camp called Dakota Sonshine on the lake traverse reservation. While there our hearts were moved as we saw the Lord working through this ministry. We worked hard clearing land and putting up lights for the camp grounds, along with many other tasks. However, there is a lot of work still to be done out there. The Native American people of South Dakota are said to be the hardest people in the world to reach for Christ. Don and Teena Lykins have been called to be missionaries to these people and they desperately need our prayers, and help both Physically and Financially. Please Join us as we continue to pray and support this ministry.
